A gaming console from Apple? No thanks!
Reports are abound that Apple is serioulst considering a move into gaming. Many are predicting that a console from Apple might be on the cards!

Some Apple maniacs might be looking for the “iCon”, but most others would not want any part in it. The developers would also not be supportive of a console from Apple.
Consider that you are a games developer, investing your resources and lots of money into the games that you make. What if Apple rejects your game and doesnt want you to publish it on their console? The stupid approval policies of Apple when it comes to the iPhone apps is well known and no developer would want to risk being rejected. Yeah, the big names can come through unscathed, but there is still the possibility that Apple may show you the door.
And what about the cost? What about the strings that come attached? Why, oh why, should the currently happy gamers be exposed to the Apple policy of doing business? I love my Xbox 360 and when things get dull, I shift to the PS3. I can use the Wii for casual gaming. There is enough choice in the console market right now and things will get better. But no Apple here. Apple will only ruin it.
