As a follow up to my previous post on Apple entering the gaming market, I would like to mention a post at Technologizer, which pretty much expresses the same thing I did in the previous post, albeit in a more softer tone.

The 5 Reasons Apple Should Not Get Into Gaming, as written by Jared Newman at Technologizer, are:

1. The Best Ideas Are Already Taken - Yup very right.
2. A Console Wouldn’t Play to Apple’s Strengths - Apple is known for its slick UI and easy of use and consoles are already known for that.
3. It’s Expensive - The main point. Any Apple product will come with the Apple tax and in the console market, generally, things can be very costly in the initial periods at the least.
4. The Field is Too Crowded- I cant agree with this one fully. The Mp3 player market was somewhat crowded even before the iPod made the entry.
5. The iPhone and iPod Touch- The author says that Apple already has great consoles in the for the iPhone and the iPod touch and Apple would be looking to expand in to gaming through these devices. It is to be noted that this is one of the reasons given to support Apple’s entry into gaming

I once again stress my reason why Apple should not enter the gaming market. Apple may be successful, but the gamers ( so far, very content with their 360s,PS3s and Wiis) would be exposed to Apple’s business policies and all hell will break lose!
