Leaked pictures of a SE Xperia phone codenamed Rachael have set the webosphere abuzz with rumours, predictions and some facts thrown here and there.

From the pictures one can see that the phone is thin and has a huge touchscreen. It allegedly comes with a 8 megapixel camera ( it  seems reasonable, 5mpx is so passe!) and supports 3D graphics. It is supposed to be based on the Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon platform, which means that the processor speed can be upto 1GHZ! If all thats true, this will be a beauty and also a beast.

From the pictures the phone doesn’t seem to have a QWERTY keyboard and also the trackball is nowhere to be seen.  So there is plenty of possibility that the phone may not be based on Android. And of course since things are not confirmed, people are also stating that the phone will actually be a Windows Phone ( remember Microsoft’s efforts to rename its mobile platform?) with Windows Mobile 7 running under the hood.
