Halo: Reach trailer is out!
A two-and-a-half minute long trailer of the upcoming Halo game Halo: Reach has been released by Bungie. Offering no clue on the gameplay, the trailer is still a great watch and the “Spartans never die..they are just missing in action” statement along with the excellent background score makes you earn for the game even more, Halo fan or not!
Having read the excellent Halo: The fall of Reach book by Eric Nylund, I am so looking forward to this game. The trailer piques my interest by showing a squad of spartans (the Noble squad) with each of them seeming to have unique characteristics and mannerisms. The spartan with the skull-painted helmet is a definite winner! The trailer points towards a Gears of War like Halo game ( what with the good dose of scars huh?) and being a fan of both the games, thats even more good news for me.
With the commander of the squad telling the new sixth member ( the player) to leave his “lone wolf stuff behind” the trailer hints at a squad based gameplay.
And as is the tradition, the main character’s face is not shown, even though he is no Master Chief! I am not getting Bungie’s obsession with hiding the main character’s face!
Check out this excellent video that also reiterates that the multi-player beta will be available in 2010:
